We spent a week at this beautiful small resort on Santa Rosa Beach…

The office here has a small store with some unusually nice gifts. The staff is very nice and helpful. To the left of the office is a propane station. We arrived a little late and our welcome package was waiting on us.

We arrived late, and I appreciated the lighted hook up posts. This is a fairly new park and it shows. The spots are well landscaped and totally flat.

There are NO pull throughs here, so you have to back into the spots. They did however, design it properly, so you back in on the driver’s side.

Yup, this is the beach! 🙂 Thankfully they have a small sunbathing section to the west.

Very nice 800′ pier. Nice for fishing or crabbing.

This is the empty premium space in front of me. It was NOT reserved for the entire week we were there. The office told me I could have it for $140 extra. I declined and offer to pay $50 more but they refused… not so great experience. $50 is better than nothing, and the customer should always be satisfied!

Nice gas fire pit and outdoor heaters.

Beautiful pool! Our experience? Not so nice… We arrived on a pretty cold week in FL, but we figured the pool was heated, so… on the second day, it was 62 degrees outside, so we suited up! Got to the pool and it was CLOSED. Solar cover on top and all. I went to the office and they told me it was closed until further notice because of the cold weather forcast. But wait a minute! Your POLICY says the pool is OPEN when the temperature is above 50 degrees, and that is the case today! And the forecast says it’ll be above 50 for the next eight hours! I’m sorry but the pool is closed was all I could get out of the management! Not so great customer service…

Friday afternoon was a meet and greet hot dog event, and Saturday morning was a $5 pancake breakfast. Unfortunately, we picked a bad week to go. The first day was okay, but the rest of the week was in the 30s during the day and then down in the teens at night… with the wind factor, it was VERY cold!

All in all this resort could have some potential if it were run better in my opinion. Talking with the management there felt like you had to be really nice to them or else… a little snobby for my taste, but I guess if the weather was better, I wouldn’t have cared.

BE WARNED! There is a HOSPITAL about a mile east on hwy 90, and the locals here call 90 the the blood highway. So ALL NIGHT LONG you will hear sirens, one after the other going to or from the hospital! The back row is only about 20 FEET from the highway! Good luck with that!

I’m going to keep this one at three stars, and probably won’t return.
