Before buying, make sure you have a good checklist to use! If you’re planning on buying off RV Trader, or online, you absolutely need these!
What I do is, I find an RV I am interested in online, usually on Craigslist or RV Trader. When I find a unit, I place a Craigslist ad in THAT area advertising for a mechanic. I offer $150 for the inspection. I email the checklist to the mechanic and he goes out to inspect the unit. I also ask him/her for at least 20 pictures, inside and out, especially of any damage!
